Here is where my reflections on information/experience of iTeach are going--
I began intentionally working toward formation of circles of learning and change (social, political, and personal) when I was 18...3 decades ago. In many ways, this is my life's work and passion.
Particular skills and techniques are vital to this task, but much of the work is also quite intuitive. I have never found a formula--though the proposals are legion!--to work as well as the instincts of a gifted leader.
So........I have now become acquainted with a new set of skills and techniques. The educational experience gave me a solid sense of some ways to stimulate conversation. A course that includes conversation improves drastically upon MolesInTheirHoles, passing itself off as learning. It is not yet a circle of learning, more commonly called a community.
I find that I can lay out a schedule for conversations, but at this point, I am bone dry of instinct about formation of community.
I am re-visiting my own work in the late 70's, and trying very hard to trust that what I learned then, I can appropriate now.
Sorry for the long post, but it's keeping me awake at night......
